Description:
This is 99 H Savage carbine in .30-30. It was built in 1938. It has honest wear. Overall finish is 70% bluing and wood finish. The wood is solid with a hairline crack along the left side of the tang. The picture of the left side of the butt stock appear to have small chips but these are discolorations. It is the uncommon barrel band version. The caliber is also somewhat rare in a Savage. It has a 20 inch tapered barrel. The bore is bright and sharp. The tang sight is a Lyman 57A. The barrel sight folds and is not marked. It has the proper elevator. The butt plate is steel with a nice SVG logo. The gun must go to an FFL or C & R. Terms are payment by USPS M/O or certified check. Buyer pays actual shipping and insurance through USPS Priority Mail. The buyer may return the gun if not as described. I am not and FFL (I hold a C & R). If your FFL requires the gun be shipped through and FFL there is and additonal $25 charge.
