Description:
For your viewing is a Remington model 14R carbine with 18” barrel this is a very early model and has strong rifling and very shinny bore. There has been some repairs made to the stock at top of grip area next to receiver. The wood in this area is very thin as the action does come back into the stock when pumped. So years of oil and use does have its effects on the stocks in this area. One other notation is that this particular carbine has a semi-pistol grip stock. Most carbines came from the factory with straight grip stocks. This could of been a special order at the time it was made as all rifle mfg. at that time in early 1900’s did special orders. It could have been a replacement in the last hundred years. It has it’s original sights, and i believe a carbine butt plate. Shoots well fun rifle to shoot and carry. Carbines are scarce rifles to find.
