Description:
A Prussian (Pre-WWI) J.P Sauer SxS Shotgun in 20g! Chambered 2-3/4". A lightweight at less than 5-1/2 lbs. The Krupp barrels are 28" long and are choked .010" and .015". The bores are PERFECT! The serial number is 112441. This gun has side cocking indicators which is little unusual for a boxlock. The stock's length of pull is 14-3/8" over a new 1/2" recoil pad. The drop dimensions are an excellent 1-5/8" and 2-1/2". This gun was not built for export as is is not Prussian marked, has popular German features like a cheek piece and sling swivels. And the "safe" marking is in German. This gun was used but very well cared for. It is in overall very good condition. about 50% faded case colors remaining. The fine engraving is very crisp. The barrel blue shows some wear and marks. There is one area of fine surface pitting on the OUTSIDE about half way down the right side tube (pictured). Bores are mirror perfect. The stock checkering looks to have maybe been touched up at some time. Ship to FFL or C&R.
