Charles Lancaster, Gunmaker, was established in 1826 and made a mark in the gun industry through 1932 when it was absorbed by Grant and Lang.  Firmly established as a LONDON BEST GUNMAKER, serving King Edward VII, King George V, and The Prince of Whales, and winning 72 First Class prizes and awards, Charles Lancaster guns are still considered amongst the top 10 gunmakers in the London trade.  Here we have a fine sidelock assisted opening action in 12 bore with beautiful, healthy Damascus barrels with the 151 New Bond St., London address.  Built in 1897, sn7834 is an antique BEST GUN in remarkable condition, with strong ejectors, mirror bores, 99% Damascus pattern, barrels in proof with    2 1/2” chambers, 30” with IC/M chokes, gorgeous English walnut stocks with good dimensions, and that stunning ornate English scroll with shaded backgrounds and perfect execution not found on modern guns.  This fine gun weighs just 6lbs. 9oz. and balances just perfectly ¼” in front of the hinge pin, making it quick to shoulder and a smooth swinging gun for fowl or clays.  The English double guns have always been the bench mark by which all other fine guns are judged, and now you can own some of the finest vintage guns on the planet for a very affordable price.  This is one of them.  Thanks for looking!
