Description:
Serial number 49 of the 50 small ring double square bridge Mauser 98-type actions Pete Grisel made. Grisel hinged straddle flooplate with inside the trigger guard release, 3 position M70 style safety and 3-panel checkered bolt knob. A 22" Harbaugh barrel finishing at .560" at the muzzle chambered in 280 Remington. All metal beautifully rust blued. Highly figured California English walnut from Don Cantwell with beaded pancake cheekpiece, flawless multi-point checkering with mullered borders, Fisher steel grip cap and hinged checkered steel buttplate. It wears a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8x scope in Grisel rings. A second set of stainless steel rings are included. LOP is 13 3/4" and the rifle, as shown, weighs 7 1/2#. This rifle was built by Roger Green in 1985 and is so marked under the barrel shank. It appears very little used.
