Description:
Original Pre-WWI Rock Island Armory Model 1903 caliber 30-06, serial number 217066 which according to J. C. Harrison's book falls in the range of rifles that were manufactured in 1912. Barrel is correctly marked RIA 8-12, while most early rifles had the barrel replaced during or after WWI or for service during WW2.
Overall condition is excellent, original finish, no import marks, no rust or pitting on metal, no cracks on wood, excellent bore, functions fine. I'm not a dealer. I'm a private collector and I'm currently thinning out my collection. 3 months layaway with 25% down is available. I accept personal checks, but due to the POLICY OF MY BANK it takes 7 business days from the day of the deposit for them to clear.
