A superior Model 56 AYA with 3 barrels in a beautiful leather case. The gun shows little if any use. Many features:
- Beautiful case colored action in a true sidelock action with cocking indicators and sideclips.
- A Brooks and Thomas leather 3 barrel case.
- Stunning wood with great grain and finish and a beaver tail forend.
- A set of 3 28" barrels all original to the gun and choked as follows: #1: .010/.030 #2: .020/.023 #3: .010/.015. Lots of versatility with this gun with that setup.
- The gun has a great feel to it and is comparable to the feel and sight plane of the renowned Churchill XXV with the tapered rib.
- LOP is 14 1/4" but it feels a tad longer due to the fact that the single trigger is set back some.
This is a very nice gun and the Model 56 AYA is a highly sought after pigeon style gun known for its quality and shootability.
This firearm is from the Oliver-Brice collection. The principal owned a private equity investment firm in Switzerland which allowed him to travel extensively in the UK and Europe. His passion was finding and researching high quality/investment grade British and European double shotguns. His collection is extensive and includes a number of unique firearms like this one. The owner would consider a trade of a fine/collector watch as he is a collector of those as well.
