Remington Model 725 30-06 Springfield
Here is a pretty nice Remington Model 725 in 30-06. The rifle bears serial # 700921. Manufactured 1958-1961 Remington made 7657 rifles in this caliber. The rifle has a 22-inch barrel and the bore is bright with no issues. Receiver is drilled and tapped for scope base as well as two screws on the left-hand side for receiver mounted peep style sight. Hinged floor plate. These rifles also feature the older Remington two position safety similar to Model 30’s and Enfield rifles. 1-inch sling loop fore and aft. A white line Pachmayr recoil pad has been added but the original factory concave configuration has been preserved. Remington grip cap. The stock has some scratches and scuffs but no cracks or splits, also a small area where the varnish has flaked away. I’d not fear refinishing this one since Remington used an easy to duplicate polymer finish. Stock LOP 14 ¼ inches. Rear sight assembly removed in favor of scope, front base remains. Triger breaks clean with no creep.
