Winchester 1866 Saddle Ring .44 caliber carbine. .44 Caliber rimfire made in 1876. Untouched gun with a brown to gray patina on the barrel along with scattered light pitting; its very dark in places and then lightens up to an almost frosted appearance. Forearm has saddle wear where the forearm has been worn after being on either horse back or a saddle. The buttstock is deluxe wood that has been nicely repaired with decorative brass “splints” on either side. Very interesting gun that looks great!
