Manufactured about half way through the first year of production, serial number 13743, is a standard 24 inch octagon barrel Winchester in .44/40 (.44 W.C.F.) which has survived in excellent original condition and still retains about 85% of its original blue finish. The walnut stocks are also very good, with their original finish and very few handling dings and sctratches. The bore is excellent and the action is tight and crisp. It has a Lyman tang sight and a Beech front sight (gold washed). This is a very attractive early antique rifle, completely original, and seldom found in this condition.
