General Specs: Parker, Year 1912, 20 Gauge, 6lbs 6oz, Side by Side Serial Number: 160817 Let’s face it, Parker doubles are, feature for feature, grade for grade, the most costly vintage American double on the market. Just like in 1912 when the Parker Trojan model was first introduced, some of us cannot afford an engraved “GRADED” Parker 20ga., so Parker gave us the Trojan Model. The Trojan Model makes it affordable to walk the fields and clays course with the gun you have always wanted; a Parker just like your dad’s or granddad’s. The Trojan is the exact same mechanism as any other Parker with a few less options you simply don’t need to go shoot up your favorite birds or clays. This particular Trojan, sn 160817 was built in 1912, the first year of Trojan production. The early Trojans had the “doll’s head” rib extension, making the early guns more desirable than the late ones. You can tell this gun was used a lot over its 105 years of life, but also cared for as it is in very clean, untouched, original condition with perfect screws, superb wood to metal fit, full length buttstock that still has the curve to a butt plate, all original factory finishes, and the more desirable 28” barrels choked IC/M. Weighing a svelte 6lbs. 5oz. and balanced perfectly on the hinge pin, it is the perfect gun for long walks in the upland fields or grouse woods. This gun will be a good investment for you as it will be worth more next year than it is this year as nice Parker 20ga. guns are becoming scarce. Thanks for looking!
