This Colt Was produced in 1908. The pistol's serial number is 7408. The factory letter states that this Colt was shipped to Norvell, Shapleigh Hardware Co. In Saint Louis Missouri May 14th 1909. This pistol retains 96% of it's original charcoal bluing. The early style grips are in exellent condition. The magazine is the correct early style with the high polish floor plate. The slide is serial numbered to the frame. The bore is in good condition with sharp lands and pitting between the lands. The trigger, back grip safety and safety lever show light color cased finish. The box is in good condition. It does have one top side section missing. The box label is intact. On the bottom, is the serial number for this pistol. The bore brush is intact as well as the instruction sheet that came with this box. This is a very highly collectable Colt that has the original box and papers let alone being a first year production pistol! Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
