Extremely Rare Henry Deringer Square Back Pistol. Very interesting gun. .34 Caliber with a 3⅝” barrel, 8½” overall length. A similar gun is pictured in the book The Derringer in America by R.L. Wilson and Doug Eberhart. According to their book, only three square backs were known at the time. This gun is very similar in features. The lock is marked “Deringer/PHILA” as is the top of the breech plug. All features are very similar to the one pictured. Very rare gun!
