Antique EGYPTIAN POLCE Snider Enfield Shotgun
British Rifle Converted to Shotgun & Dated 1913!
Here we present an antique Egyptian made Enfield Snider Shotgun, made circa 1913, possibly at Khartoum. These shotguns were made from obsolete Snider rifles from the 1870s. Operation was basically the same. The year marked on this shotgun’s lock is 1913. It also bears an “EP/CRESCENT” marking that was the mark of the Egyptian Police. Markings in Farsi appear on the barrel.
The overall condition is good. The metal finish is fairly bright, likely because of the arid environment of Egypt. The markings are clear and legible. The walnut stock are in good condition. The bore is clean. The action on this shotgun is functioning.
