Here is where the rub comes. The Colt letter that accompanies the gun says it left the factory in 1922 in .45 LC, purchased by a Hardware Company in Eldorado, Arkansas but was shipped to a Hardware Company in Pennsylvania. It was part of a shipment of two guns. Examining the barrel, the letters .41 Colt, are stamped clearly. Although the gun looks sample exact, somewhere in it's history it may have undergone some changes. One Colt collector said the barrel marking was typical of a factory changeout. In any case the gentleman we acquired the gun from purchased it in Montana. The gun is strong and probably fine to shoot although a caliber check should be performed by a qualified gunsmith. We will ship anywhere in the lower 48 insured for $35.00. We are FFL and must ship to FFL. If you have any questions please ask.
