Description:

AUSTRIAN Steyr Model 95 STRAIGHT PULL Rifle

Unit Marking on the Butt Plate

Here we present a Steyr Model 95 Straight Pull Rifle, made in the early 20th Century in Austria. Austria-Hungary adopted this rifle in 1896, and it saw continuous use until the end of World War II. It was chambered in the 8x50mm Rimmed cartridge and a straight-pull bolt, versus a bolt that turns to open.

This one is marked “STEYR/M.95” on the receiver. “K” marks confirm that this one was made in Austria. The unit number “34R/10127” is marked on the butt plate.

The overall condition is good. The original blue finish is about 80%. The markings are clear and legible. Two barrel bands are absent as is the top of the handguard. The stock have been sanded smooth. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The action on this rifle is excellent.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.
