Description:
Savage Model 99 Takedown .250-3000. The rifle includes a vintage Savage 99 takedown rifle case (see photos). The 22" takedown barrel has an ivory beaded front sight, but the rear sight is missing, though there is a wedge plug in its place. Also, there is a tang mounted folding peep sight, however, the peep piece is missing. The receiver includes an attached set of scope bases but not rings. The checkered walnut stocks are in very good condition, and so is the lacquer finish. The bore is in good condition for its age and the time period of manufacture. There is still some shine but not like when new. The Savage case is in good condition, though there are some repairs to the back of the case, and there is a leather thong missing from the left side, next to the handle, of the leather strap system. Metal Condition: The receiver blue is in good condition showing corner and edge wear, the barrel blue is fading and there is patina showing were bluing once was. There is just a hint of case color remaining on the lever.
Wood Condition: The wood stocks and lacquer finish are in good to very good condition, however there is the occasional scratche and ding.
Bore Condition: The bore is in good condition for age and the time period of manufacture. There is still some shine but not like when new.
Barrels: 22" Takedown barrel, and includes an attached but removable barrel band/sling swivel mount.
Triggers: Single.
Stock: Checkered walnut with a checkere black plastic grip cap and a sling swivel stud.

13" Length of pull.
Fore End: Checkered walnut with schnabel tip and takedown slide.
Butt Pad: Seratted blued metal butt-plate.
Weight: 7 Lbs.
Sights: Front sight with ivory bead, rear sight plug in barrel, tang mounted folding peep, unfortunately the peep piece is missing. Scope bases but no rings.
