The rimfire 17 WSM (17 Super Mag) is a faster, flatter and more powerful version of the 17 HMR, adding about 500 fps of velocity from the muzzle (3000 fps WSM vs. 2550 fps HMR) and over 600fps more velocity at 200 yds (2058 fps WSM vs. 1378 fps HMR) giving more energy and knock down power out to farther distances with tack driving accuracy.
