European ENGRAVED Antique FLINTLOCK Horse Pistol
VERY OLD, Restocked with Original Relic Stock Included
Here we present an antique European Flintlock Pistol, made circa the 1700s. This pistol features very nice engravings on the barrel, pommel and trigger guard. The cock is of graceful swan neck design. Very old, original metal parts have been restocked, though the original stock is included with this piece. The original stock is nicely figured and carved, hinting at the original richness of the piece. Clearly, the original pistol was a treasure that was lost in the field and weathered for a great while before being found. This pistol is a beautiful piece of history and would make a great display piece.
The overall condition is fair. The metal has a nice, smooth dark patina. There are no visible markings besides the engravings, which are clear and beautiful. The reproduction stock is fine. The bore is untouched and dusty with many decades behind it. The action on this pistol is nonfunctioning.
