Antique “W. RICHARDS” SxS Percussion Shotgun
19th Century Double Barrel Shotgun
Here we present an antique Belgian W. Richards Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun, made circa the late 1800s in Belgium. W. Richards was the trade name for Henri Pieper, a Belgian arms maker in the second half of the 19th century.
The overall condition is fair. The metal is covered in a dark patina. “W. Richards” is marked on the locks. The bores are dark and dusty. The stock is weathered with a metal butt plate attached by a single screw, causing it to swivel. The action is functional. This would be a great piece to hang above the fireplace in a hunting cabin!
