This Springfield - Garand , ser No. 831834 was mfg about 9/1942 and has some possible extensive exposure to WWII, Korea and
later campaigns. It has a Naval Armory No. on the butt stock of "2K1116". This was how the Navy inventoried their small arms.
It possibly was assigned to a Naval Fleet designated for the Pacific Theater of WW II. The Japanese War Front campaigns got
most of the new Garand's , I've been told. The overal condition is excellent and and almost 100% of all of it's parts match.
