Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Traveler breaks down into two sections-the receiver/stock and the barrel/forend-for compact carry. This Safari Grade comes with a 24” 300 Winchester Magnum and a 24” 416 Taylor barrel. It features a beautiful upgraded walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut checkering (wrap around on forend), an ebony forend tip and ebony cross bolt plugs. The satin finished stock has a metal grip cap and a Pachmayr recoil pad yielding a 13 3/4” length of pull. A single blade island rear sight and standard front sight with flip up night sight sit atop both barrels. The receiver and bolt knob are rust blued and the remaining metal is matte blued. Barrel band front and inletted rear sling swivel studs. The stock has some very light rack scratches on the left side above the trigger. Factory test fired only. Weight is 9.3 lbs with the 416 Taylor barrel.
We have one Swarovski scope that goes with this gun. It is a Z6i 1-6x24 that is set up and zeroed for the 416 Taylor barrel. It has the 4A-I CD TDS-4I reticle, is first generation and is mounted in Talley quick release rings. We will sell this for an additional cost of $1500.
