Description:
Parker GH 20 Gauge SxS
28" BARRELS

General Specs: Parker, Year 1919, 20 Gauge, 5lbs 15oz, Side by Side
Serial Number: 183327

In the world of vintage American double shotguns, Parker Brothers reigns supreme.  The Parker name is synonymous with classic upland double guns.  The Parker Gun Collectors Association has done a great job fostering knowledge on these fine guns, which many believe to be America’s finest.  The GH Grade is the first level of Parker with game scene engraving and it is a low production gun with only 990 made in 20ga. with Parker Special Steel barrels, with another dozen in Damascus.  There is likely less than 800 left on the planet.  This gun has it all; rarity, condition, weight and balance and good looks to boot. THIS GUN IS UNTOUCHED FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION, with 70% bright case color, 98% barrel blue, and nearly all of the original factory wood finish and untouched checkering.  It is getting exceedingly difficult to find guns that have not been restored in some way and still have a lot of finish remaining.  This fine Parker, sn183327 made in 1919, is a great find, with good shooting dimensions, full length stock to the original butt plate, excellent screws, nicely figured wood that is fit perfectly to the action, and perfect mechanics.  There are some Parker doubles that are just better than others in the way of balance, weight, and handling characteristics, and this little 20ga. is one of them.  Weighing just 5lbs. 15oz. and balanced 1/8” ahead of the hinge pin, she is a delight in the hand and ½ pound lighter than most Parker 20ga. guns you will find.  The 28” Parker Special Steel barrels are choked F/F (we can alter the chokes for you in our shop within a few days of purchase) and have mirror bores and tight ribs.  The barrels fit on the breech face and hinge pin tight like a new gun.  What a great gun for your upland pursuits or to shoot up some clay targets with your friends.  This Parker is an investment quality shotgun that will gain value as you enjoy its use.  Thanks for looking!
