I talked to the owner of the rifles into letting me drop the price, along with that I talked him in to entertaining offers so please email or call with any.. This is a RARE oppurtunity! Two still new, (unfired), consecutive serial numbered Winchester Golden Spike rifles! Only made now 50 years ago for 1 year. If anyone remembers you had to pay a big premium to obtain consecutive serial numbered rifles in those days, or know a company executive having kneel, kissing his ring like he was the Pope to get them! The owner bought them for his son and himself they were displayed in the owners business in his office hung on the wall in a display case. They were taken down on occasion and shown off, there are several areas on the brass recievers where the Patina is shadowed but no scratches. No dents, scratches, or nicks in the wood, 1 small impression I found. Where the shadowing is in the Patina of the brass frames, the owner wanted me to polish them out which I sternly told him, "No! I have seen new guns come out of the box in lesser condition. Though a sad note here is through several moves of the business the boxes were misplaced long ago, but the rifles have been kept in felt gun socks through any moves these last 50 years. Even though the boxes are gone this is still an absolute rare find of a set of rifles! (I know all the whines about boxes been at this myself for 45 years) I did the best I could with pictures I am pretty sure I covered all the important angles, Staggered the pictures in order, just no top or bottom shots. If you want other pictures I can do that if you supply me with an email. For 50 years old 99% perfect!
Purchaser Assumes all shipping and insurance costs, the rifles will be wrapped in bubble wrap inserted in the felt socks then I will pack them each in a seperate box to ship taped together as one package I feel this would be the safest way to insure their arrival with out incident!
