Description:
Here is a beautiful, pre-1913 LC Smith OO grade in 20 gauge, restored to almost new condition. 26" barrels choked M/IM, with a 14 1/4" LOP over a thin, new, vintage style pad. This sleek vintage double weighs in at a trim 5 lbs, 12 ozs. Original 2 1/2" chambers, 1 3/4" DAC, with almost perfect shiny bores and manual 3 position safety. Curtis style push button release forend. Lock up is tight like new with the lever right of center. Recently restored with genuine bone charcoal case colors, rust blued barrels, hot blued furniture, and hand rubbed oil stock finish. Nice crisp checkering and solid stocks. There is really nothing to apologize for here. This gun is probably restored to about 98% as-new condition.  Minimum barrel wall thickness of about 35/27 thousandths. We recommend that only 2 1/2" RST brand lite shells be fired from any light weight vintage 20 gauge like this LC Smith. They were simply not designed to shoot modern 2 3/4" shells. Nor do we support lengthening these 2 1/2" chambers to accomodate modern shells. Shoot only RST shells that are engineered to duplicate vintage period ammunition that guns like this were designed to shoot, and she should should provide faithful service for decades to come. Three day non-disassembly, non-shooting inspection period runs from delivery to FFL/C&R. $50 insured shipping to lower 48.
