Payment Types Accepted: Check, MO, Wire Transfer Description: This is a Springfield 2nd Model Allen Conversion 50 caliber centerfire. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight. The bore is good plus with decent rifling and frosting in the bore from black powder corrosion. The bore is about a 6 on a 1-10 scale. With 1 very bad and 10 being like new. It comes with the correct U.S. Springfield bayonet but no scabbard. No cartouche remaining as the wood was sanded. There are two sets of numbers on the left rear stock. 1322 and there is one above it but seems to be a mix of letters and numbers?? The old guy that I bought it from showed me pictures of himself shooting it at 75 yards and he could hit a small melon without any problem. With some good loads it probably will shoot fine at 100 yards. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE?
