The mechanical function is very good and has an excellent bright and shinny bore. It has two very sharp and crisp inspector cartouches on the wood wrist. I would rate this one very fine condition. Total quantity of less than 18000 made. The lock is dated 1842 and the 8 ½” barrel is marked U.S. J.H. P. This is original flintlock and not reconverted. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE? Ask about our 30-90 day lay-away program.
