Description:
WEBLEY large frame revolver MARK VI  World War I dated 1915 All original including original .455 cylinder (NOT shaved down to chamber .45 ACP thereby shaving off half of the S/N on cylinder and ruining the gun for an authentic WWI pistol collection)  Overall a pleasing patina - no damage, no rust.  All matching S/N  161320 (cylinder, frame, and barrel)  Black plastic grips virtually mint , no cracks or chips.  Lanyard ring intact and original.  Marked on left frame below cylinder "WEBLEY / MARK VI / PATENTS / 1915  Loaded with broad arrow proofs. All screws original and not boogered (I saw a photo of a Webley with a Phillips head screw!)  Bore bright and shiny)  I do not know what the "39" on the back strap is, may be an unit marking number - not part of the S/N. Mechanicaly perfect except for a slight cylinder loseness.  You can buy cheaper shooters, but if you want an as-issued military hand-gun for an authentic WWI collection, this is it !
