Description:
Model 1816 contract .69 cal. N. Starr flintlock musket in overall very good condition. Is in original flintlock configuration and is the type three. Lockplate and breech have good markings but all metal parts were cleaned and some point. Stock is solid and sound but has some chips and a nickel size chip on the left forestock. Original ramrod displays well but one inch of the tip is gone. Front band spring is broken at the end where the button holds the band. Bore is good. This is an early 1832 date with the 8- pointed star beneath it. A very good looking gun and mechanically fine specimen still in unaltered flint.
