Description:
This Winchester rifle has returned back from Australia where it has seen some action. Import marks on the lower tang. It has some initials carved in the stock that look like "J" and "K" on one side and a "K" on the other. There are quit a few other usage mars and dings in the wood as well as a solid repair at the wrist. Also appears to be 15 "achievement" notches carved rather deeply into the forearm. Possibly old Jack was a kangaroo hunter of sorts? Or maybe some crocodiles? Anyway he was pretty proud of those "kills". Barrel has turned a plum/brown color while the receiver has smooth metal and is mostly gray. Some replaced screws. Replaced front sight and the original sporting rear. Shiny bore with some scattered roughness with good rifling. Smooth action. The guns got a story to tell, or you can just make up your own. Would make a good cowboy action shooter as well.
