One of "200 Nickle" scarce and highly desirable in any condition... this example would rate in the top 70%. It is listed by its serial number "1947" in the STANDARD CATALOG OF SMITH & WESSON by Jim Supica & Richard Nahas as a Model 3 that was purchased by the U.S. government. It is also lettered and Documented by Smith & Wesson Historian Roy Jinx. A small "A" ordnance sub-inspection mark is present on the left side of the frame, on top and under the cylinder, and in a cylinder flute.
