Description:
Circa 1960's Paul Jaeger M1917 US action shaped to Remington M30S configuration with reshaped trigger guard and flat push button release floor plate barreled to 257 Roberts 26 inch/12 twist medium weight hunting/varmint barrel bedded in 4X American black walnut stock with shadow line cheek piece.  Bought from original owner in April 1991.  Jim Wisner (ACGG) trued action, converted to cock on opening and installed his 3 position M70 type safety.  John Hackley installed new custom bolt handle and Timney trigger, reshaped rear action bridge to M700 Remington dimensions, reblued all metalwork and replaced original butt pad with a Pachmayr decelerator pad.  Bushnell 3X9X50mm scope mounted on Redfield one piece base with Redfield rings replacing a dovetail barrel mount system for external micrometer mount adjusted scopes.  Shoots into 3/4 inch at 100 yards with 75 grain, 89 and 90 grain and 100 grain bullets. A fine proven deer antelope and coyote rifle project started by one of Pennsylvania's finest gunsmiths and finished by two American Custom Gunsmith Guild masters.  One of my favorite personal rifles.  Select lot of brass and bullets with tested loading data available.        $1750 plus USA shipping and handling
