High Standard (New Haven, CT.), Supermatic Cal. 22 LR. Ser. 415019, MFG.1951.
Mint in the original box. The gun has all the appearance of one that has not seen a full box of cartridges thru it since it left the factory. This model is fitted with the early square push up barrel release.and the slotted dovetail barrel for barrel weight.
There isn't a nick, pin prick, rub spot, scratch or even sharp edge silvering anywhere. The gripstraps don't even have a touch of toning. I would conservatively rate "Cabinet Queen", at 99.99+% original factory finish. The brown plastic H/S grips are in similar condition, not a blemish anywhere. The screw heads on the rear sight and grips show no use.
The bolt face and slide rails show little if any use. The bore is as minty as the rest of the gun. The rifling is mirror bright and razor sharp without a hint frost. The gun comes with the original box, factory parts papers and instructions, one barrel weight as shown, the barrel dovetail filler plate that is almost always missing and one proper H/S magazine. What a pleasant find for the collector and early post war New Haven,CT. quality. A centerpiece for the collector. or a trophy winner for the shooter.......$895.
