Description:
Serial #233803, .300 Win. Mag., 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a stunning rifle that was built by Roger Biesen not long before his retirement and the cessation of Biesen's gunmaking operations. The rifle has a satin blue finish with jeweled finish controlled-feed bolt. The rifle is fitted with a Biesen barrel without provision for iron sights, and has color case-hardened Tally QD 1" rings mounted on matching color case-hardened blocks. The rifle is further equipped with a barrel-mounted front swivel stud. A small and unobtrusive import marking is present on the underside of the barrel, and there is a very small amount of finish loss on the bolt handle. The stock is exhibition Claro walnut with Biesen's distinctive Fleur-de-lis border checkering, and features a contoured ebony forend tip, steel skeleton grip cap, elegantly curved shadow line cheek-piece, and a 14 1/8" LOP to the end of the Pachmayr recoil pad. This is a superb, American hunting rifle, built by one of the best known companies in American gunsmithing, and would make a splendid addition to any high quality hunting battery. FFL
