Excellent condition U.S. Ball carbine built by Lamson & Co Windson Vermont. This example is one of 1002 carbines built 1864-65. Reference see Flayderman's guide 8th edition page 506. This carbine shows a bright very good plus bore. The barrel shows 90+ original blue. The action shows clear mrkings and muted color. The walnut stock shows original finish . This piece shows its' original cleaning rod. An overall excellent example for the civil war or U.S. Collector.
