Description:
This is a Revolutionary War Era Trade Musket lock dated '1779. The lock is a large British Type Lock with the name 'GOFF'. I'm a gunbuilder and restored this musket myself. Everything is original except the stock, frizzen and sling. The stock had too much damage to be saved so I restocked it and the frizzen was beyond use so I fitted a Brown Bess Frizzen to the lock. I will send the original frizzen with the musket. The touch hole was too large so I installed a vent liner. When I installed the vent liner I checked the bore at the breech. The breech is in very good condition and the wall thickness is about 1/4 inch. The barrel is in very good shape and it shoots nice. I shoot 80 gr FFG Black Powder with a .735 round ball and a .020 oiled patch. At 50 yards it's pretty accurate.
?This musket is a .75 cal. with a 39 inch barrel. Over all lecgth is 55 inches and has 13.5 inch pull. The lock is really tight with strong main and frizzen springs.  I have a few period musket flints, chipped in the 1700's', that I will send with the musket. NO FFL NEEDED. $50.00 Shipping. Includes insurance and signature delivery. AK and HI extra. I accept Cash, Check, MO, Credit Cards and PayPal. +4% for CC and PP.
