Description:
Ruger Model 77 Rifle, Customized as follows. The caliber was changed from 30-06 to 30-40 Krag. The barrel is a Kreiger Air Gauged Target, 25 inches long, heavy sporter profile, 1:10 twist, chrome moly, blued. Bolt & extractor altered for the 30-40. Other alterations include a steel trigger guard & magazine release, machined and installed, a stainless ruger front sight, silver soldered on, and original rear sights re-installed. The stock was also opened up a bit to accept the new barrel. The the barrel is free floated. The muzzle is standard. As you can see from the pictures, the rifle has not seen much shooting, the barrel is barely broken in. Actually I checked it for accuracy and function when it came back from the gunsmith, both are fine using off the shelf ammo. With the best barrel from Kreiger and based on the Ruger 77, which is basically a Mauser action, you can't go wrong. The length of pull is 13 1/2 inches, uncut stock. You will need to purchase the ruger front sight insert of your choice, I never did do that. I'm using a scope, but I wanted the rifle to be complete with or without scope. I have all gunsmithing receipts.
It's a very nice rifle in a good caliber that should be getting allot more attention. With the cost of the rifle, this cost me a little over $2000.00. You can't have this made for what I'm asking. Please see pictures, and email me if you have a question.
