Description:
Ferlach O/U double rifle chambered in .458 Win Mag. Features include scalloped boxlock frame, ejectors, bushed firing pins, 24.75-inch barrels and a double-leaf express sight dovetailed into an integral matted quarter rib. Markings show the rifle was imported and sold by California Arms Company (as marked on rib). Maker is Johann Michelitsch of Ferlach, Austria based on the maker's logo stamped on breechface and underside of barrel, as well as serial number "41.561" ("41" being Michelitsch's Ferlach gunmaker's code, and "561" indicating 561st gun produced). Proofed in Ferlach in 1956. Regulation for 500-grain bullets (on barrels). All serial numbers match. ENGRAVING: A fine, elegant scroll of 80% coverage graces the French-gray finished receiver, transitions onto the barrel and continues along the rib, guard, forend latch, top lever, tangs and screws. CONDITION: Approximately 98% overall. Good bores and solid stock with three piece forend, scalloped horn grip cap and shadowline pancake cheekpiece. A skin of either wood finish or dry protective oil yellows the edges of the action, but could be easily removed. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 10 pounds. Length of-pull is 13.75 inches over a Noshoc pad, drops are 1.5 and 2.5 inches and cast (off) is approximately .25 inches.  Rifle comes in a brass-cornered oak & leather case with protective canvas cover and accessories as shown.
