Description:
22 inch round barrel chambered in the rare and desirable 50-95 Express caliber. Good shiny bore with strong rifling and scattered light roughness. Barrel has some thinning original blue remaining while the mag tube and side plates appear to have been cleaned and artificially aged. Receiver retains thin original blue having turned a plum color but is fairly strong in the protected areas. Traces of case color remain on the hammer and lever. Correct "1876" marked rear ladder sight with a German silver blade front. Crescent style butt plate. Wood is in good condition with just a few light handling mars. Winchester introduced the 50 caliber in 1879 and only 3,284 rifles were made in this caliber.
