Antique REMINGTON “New Model” .31 POCKET Revolver
Fine Example in Neat Nickel Finish & Rosewood
Here we present a Remington New Model Pocket Percussion Revolver, made circa 1870 in Ilion, New York. This revolver was designed for defensive carry and would have been equally at home in a holster, pocket or purse. It held 5 shots of .31 caliber ball.
The overall condition of this revolver is good. Traces of the original blue finish remain with a dark patina making up the balance. The markings are clear and legible. The original rosewood stocks are very good with a tiny sliver missing off the back. The bore is dark with good rifling. The piece that would normally house the spur trigger is absent, but this does not affect function. The action on this revolver is excellent.
