Description:
Antique Purdey leather hard case with Original label. The address is on 314 1/2 Oxford Street. According to Donald Dallas' book, Purdey was at this address between 1826 and 1882. The case would fit a 29 inch double barrel side by side hammerless shotgun with generally standard dimmensions. It can also fit 30 inch barrels if the spacer is removed. The leather is fine for a case of this age but please see the pictures. The straps are intact but with surface cracks. The handle is missing its center and is begining to ctack. There are some holes on the inside lining (see pictures). All brass edges, buckles and lock are intact, but the key is missing.
