Colonel Douglas B. Wesson, Smith & Wesson, on November 17, 1919. The gun is equipped with a 4" barrel, original blue finish and the original checkered walnut extension square-butt grips. The gun comes in the original numbers-matching maroon one-piece display box with the factory papers and cleaning tools, note that the bottom of the box also has the original writing: 'D. B. Wesson'. Also accompanying this incredible I-frame is a small mailing box that is addressed to Douglas Wesson, C/O Smith & Wesson Inc, 2100 Roosevelt Ave. Springfield, Massachusetts. The box is filled with Douglas B. Wesson's personalized matchbooks, bearing his name. The gun retains over 99% of the original blue finish showing a faint cylinder line. The original case colors are superb and the original extension grips are numbers matching and every bit as mint as the gun itself. The original numbers matching box bears D.B. Wesson's name and is complete with the paperwork and cleaning tools.
