A REAL Old West Faro Case Keeper NOT A REPRODUCTION. This case-keeper was made by Mason & Co. 84 Dearborn Street Chicago These were individually hand-made products and were destined for service on the River Boats and Saloons of the American frontier. This one has all the character and patina of a well traveled gambling devise that it is. With real Old West charisma. All solid wood construction with jointed corners and brass hinges. The Counters are made of celluloid. 12" long 11 1/4" wide when fully open. This is small than most because it was designed as part of a Traveling Faro Set. As a part of a traveling set it is rare as most were sent to permeant locations. It is using condition or would be great to just display in an old saloon or gun room.
