Description:
The Colt Police Positive Special (Third Issue) was made from 1947 to 1976. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with either a 4, 5, or 6 inch barrel, checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions, blue or nickel finished, and were chambered in .38 Special. This 1965 vintage Colt is as described and is fitted with a 5 inch barrel and is blue finished. The 6-shot revolver is in excellent original condition, retaining 98%+ of its original blue finish, with minor thinning on the muzzle, minor drag line on the cylinder, and thinning on the ejector rod. The bore looks as new and the action is tight and functions perfectly. The grips are in excellent condition, fit well, have sharp checkering, and have no chips or cracks. A great example of its type.
