A fine Harry Lawson Ultralite or Superlite Mountaineer Model 650 chambered in 308 Winchester, left hand stock with a custom Remington 660 action with a model 700 bolt handle...deluxe pistol grip stock carved out of English fiddleback walnut with a rosewood forend cap and pistol grip cap and a compass point ebony bordered maple inlay. This Mountaineer rifle tips the scales at 6 pounds with a 18 1/2 inch tapered barrel and a brake that was added by Lawson. When picking this rifle up it easily comes to the shoulder with only your left hand. The hi polish matchless finish blueing is 99%+ and it appears this rifle has never been hunted with. The bore is mint with strong rifling and shiny with not a hint of corrosion. A silent push button safety integral with the trigger guard is a H. Lawson trademark. Trigger is crisp and breaks at about 2 1/2 lbs. Conetrol 1 piece mount and rings finished matchless to compliment the rifle. The bolt knob has had a small amount of corrosion on the outside checkered panel and needs to be cleaned up. All remaining metal is perfect as is the elegant stock with sharp checkering and a flared rubber butt pad. Overall length is 39 inches. LOP is 13 3/4 inches.
