Absolutely stunning Colt 1860 Fluted Army. 95% of the original blue and bright case colors on the frame. Grips are excellent. Gun is in a fantastic case with excellent accessories. This gun comes with a factory letter where it says that this gun was shipped on April 15th, 1861 to Peter Williams and Company in Richmond, VA. This was 2 days after Ft. Sumter which was the first battle that ignited the Civil War and this gun along with 471 others were shipped to a Southern shipping address. In the newly released book The Colt Model 1860 Army Revolver by Charles Pate, he has identified the guns shipped to Peter Williams and Company as being a Confederate Contract and the last shipment south by Colt. So not only is this an extremely fined Cased Colt 1860 Fluted Army, it is also a Confederate Contract gun.
