S.W. Marston Swivel Barrel 2 Shot .31 Caliber Pistol. Barrel marked “J. Cohn & S.W. Marston” Left side of hammer bar is marked “New York”. Right side is marked “Patented 1851”. This is an extremely rare pistol. Barrel length 4”. Brass frame with silver plate. Engraved frame. Action works properly and overall condition is very good. This is the only example of this pistol we have seen. An old collector use to refer to this kind of rarity as “more scarce than rocking horse poop”.
