Smith & Wesson First Model American .44 American Caliber Revolver. Serial #56xx. Barrel latch and cylinder numbers all match. .44 American caliber. Grips look great and fit fine, but do not match the frame number. Gun has approximately 30-35% original blue. The rest is brown even patina or blue/brown patina. Bore has strong rifling, mostly bright and has light frost in the groves. Action works perfectly. This is an above average 1st Model American.
