T.K. BAKER, LONDON
A .54 caliber PERCUSSION TRANSITIONAL REVOLVER, MODEL 'BAKER'S PATENT REVOLVING LEVER COCK PISTOL', The back strap has the serial number ("No. 1098.") The top of the frame is marked "REGISTERED/APRIL 24 1852."
circa 1850's, Has an octagonal 5 1/2 inch barrel. London's Birmingham proof marks on the cylinder, and is a plain six-shot revolver, with rounded boxlock border and scroll engraved action signed 'T.K. BAKER LONDON'... There is a sliding safety on the left, and a central bar hammer signed 'BAKER'S PATENT' with a "Long Cocking Spur Hammer", the revolver has fine Walnut grips and a guarded single action trigger. The long spur hammer has been repaired. This old chesnut still indexes, cocks, and fires. These early TRANSITION REVOLVERS have a certain elegance all their own.
