Description:
Rare special order Model 1876 rifle with 26 inch Extra Heavy octagon barrel chambered in 40-60 WCF with full length mag and set trigger as well a rifle style butt plate. Metal surfaces appear to have been cleaned long ago and are turning a gray patina. There are good traces of original blue in the protected areas. Bore has shine and good rifling and may clean up even better. Sights include a blade front and an "1876" marked folding ladder rear that is missing the slider. Smooth action and a set trigger that works. Sharp markings. Wood has been freshened and is in good condition. Comes with factory letter verifying all features. Heavy barreled Winchesters are hard to find!
